Douglas E. Dent, BA, LLB, LLM

If you don't mind using first names, Mr. Dent will be pleased if you call him "Doug." Clients want a lawyer they can trust - and Doug believes that, here in the slightly wild West, first names are part of a relationship of trust. Doug is proud to call himself a general practitioner and has more than 35 years experience as a lawyer. He can help you with family law, wills and estates, real estate law, business law and court matters. He speaks and writes English and French fluently. When time permits, he gives back to the community by participating in several of the non-profit organizations which enhance life in the South Cariboo.

Burdick W. Smith

Burdick Smith has been with our firm for just over a year as associate counsel. Burdick has practiced law in the Cariboo for almost 30 years. Many of you may recognize him as a lawyer, some of you may know him from his active community involvement or to others he may be referred to as friend. Burdick is a valuable addition to our team of legal professionals and provides legal services in Criminal Law, Wills and Estates and Real Estate Law.

Stephanie Kappei, BCom, LLB

Not unlike Doug and Burdick at Centennial Law, Ms. Kappei is also pleased to have you call her Stephanie.  She grew up in the 100 Mile House area, graduated from Peter Skene Ogden Secondary School and is excited to be back home.  She is the most recent addition to the qualified team of lawyers at Centennial Law however, don’t let her new title as “lawyer” fool you. She has been involved with the firm for many years starting out as an Assistant Manager moving forward to a Co-Office Manager and Executive Legal Assistant, as well as completing her time as a Legal Articled Student. When Stephanie is not busy serving her community’s legal needs she is giving her time to the Cariboo Family Enrichment Centre. Stephanie is always happy to help you with family law, wills and estates, real estate law, business law and court matters. She speaks and writes English and German fluently and is looking forward to hearing from you.
